28. Massachusetts Horse Ultimate English Pleasure
Open to riders of all ages. Riders will be asked to walk, trot, canter, halt, and back up.
Horses will be judged on pleasure of ride and ability to smoothly follow the aids of the rider.

29. Massachusetts Horse Ultimate Western Pleasure
Open to riders of all ages. Riders will be asked to walk, jog, lope, halt, and back up.
Horses will be judged on pleasure of ride and ability to smoothly follow the aids of the rider.

30. Central New England Equine Rescue Pleasure
Open to riders of all ages. Open to horses who have been rescued whether by the rider, a rescue organization, or another person.

31. Dion Tack English Equitation Challenge
Open to riders of all ages. To be judged on rider’s position, seat, and the correctness and effectiveness of aids at the walk, trot, and canter. Judge may ask riders to drop their stirrups. Dion Tack gift certificates to all entries!

32. Stock Seat Equitation Challenge
Open to riders of all ages. To be judged on rider’s position, seat, and the correctness and effectiveness of aids at the walk, jog, and lope. Judge may ask riders to drop their stirrups.

33. Walk Trot Equitation Challenge
Open to riders of all ages. To be judged on rider’s position, seat, and the correctness and effectiveness of aids at the walk and jog or trot.

34. Hunter Horse Pleasure
Open to riders of all ages. To be ridden at a reasonably loose rein on command at the walk, trot, and canter. May be asked to back. Extended gaits may be requested. Judged on manners, performance, quality, and suitability.

35. Hunter Pony Pleasure
Open to riders of all ages. To be ridden at a reasonably loose rein on command at the walk, trot, and canter. May be asked to back. Extended gaits may be requested. Judged on manners, performance, quality, and suitability.

36. Hunter Walk Trot Pleasure
Open to riders of all ages. To be ridden at a reasonably loose rein on command at the walk and trot. Judged on manners, performance, quality, and suitability.

37. Open Bridle Path Hack
Open to riders of all ages. Walk, trot, canter, and may be asked to back. If hand gallop is requested no more than eight will hand gallop at one time. Judged on performance, substance, and manners.

38. Open Western Horsemanship
Open to riders of all ages. Riders will be judged on seat, hands, and performance of horse, appointments of horse and rider, and suitability of horse to rider. The rider’s methods of achieving good horse performance are to be considered more important than the performance of the horse. Flat-footed four-beat walk, two-beat jog, and a three-beat lope both ways of the ring. Horses will be asked to back in line up.

39. Grooms Equitation
Open to riders of all ages. To be judged on rider’s position, seat, and the correctness and effectiveness of aids at the walk, jog or trot, and lope or canter. Riders must wear healed shoes (no sneakers, sandals, or open toed shoes) and ASTM/SEI-approved helmet.

40. Walk Trot Discipline Rail
Open to riders of all ages. Will be asked to walk, jog or trot, halt, back up, and turn on the forehand.

41. English Discipline Rail
Open to riders of all ages. Will be asked to walk, trot, canter, halt, back up, turn on the forehand, and possibly drop stirrups.

42. Western Discipline Rail
Open to riders of all ages. Will be asked to walk, jog, lope, halt, back up, turn on the forehand, and possibly drop stirrups.

43. Costume Class
Open to riders of all ages.

SHOW RULES

1. Massachusetts state law requires a negative Coggins test. No horse will be allowed on the grounds without this document.
2. Judges’ decisions are final.
3. Appropriate attire is required. Exhibitors will not be penalized for wearing protective headgear in lieu of traditional headgear.
4. All riders 19 years of age and under are required to wear a ASTM/SEI-approved helmet while on the grounds, when mounted.
5. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times.
6. Equitation placing will break division championship ties.
6. Any discrepancies or questions should be directed to the show steward, not the judges.

DIRECTIONS

From the south:
Take exit 4 off the Mass Pike for Route 91. Go north on Route 91 to exit 19. At exit 19 go straight through light at bottom of ramp. Go straight through the next light, and go straight through the third light. When you reach the stop sign, turn right onto Route 9 west. Follow Route 9 west through Williamsburg and into Goshen. Once in Goshen turn left onto South Main Street. Take your second left onto West Street. Go down the hill, up the other side, and turn right onto Ball Road. Show grounds are about a half mile on left. Look for signs.

From the north: Take Route 112 South. In the center of Goshen when Route 112 meets Route 9, turn left onto Route 9 east. Go through Goshen center and turn right onto South Main Street. Take an immediate right onto West Street. Go down the hill, up the other side, nd turn right onto Ball Road. Show grounds are about a half mile on left. Look for signs.
